What is the trend off late? Soft drinks and aerated/carbonated drinks, a super-hyped alternative to water, dilution of alcohol or even concentrated alcohol many a times. Among the youth, it is considered as something supposedly ‘Cool’.
Well not only do they contain large percentage of sugar, they are also filled with artificial colours and preservatives, which are not safe for health if consumed regularly. They hike the harmful toxin levels in your body. Read down the list of ingredients on the bottle’s label, which many who love it might have never looked on so fahttp://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-a-carbonated-beverage.htm#r, and just think what you are gulping down is damaging.
According to a research study, if you consume about 1.5 liters per day, it can lead to many health issues like Obesity, Tooth Decay, Renal Problems, Diabetes, Osteoporosis, Acidity, Gastric Troubles, Malnutrition, etc. Aerated drinks have high carbon and sugar content. The carbonation causes tooth decay due to the acidic nature of the drink and irritates the stomach by causing acidity & pain as well. And, constant consumption of the drink suppresses appetite due to which you will not be able to eat sumptuous nutritional food. The kidneys cannot excrete excessive phosphoric acid and thus there is additional pressure on the kidneys. These soda-filled drinks eliminate the natural calcium presence in the bones and increase the calcium content in the body artificially, which results in kidney stones.
The frizzy cool drink is never the best thing. Constant consumption of the sugary drink increases the risk of diabetes and can also make you obese as the refined sugar in it adds to the number of calories. Artificial additives, flavouring agents, filtered water, and edible colors – none of these in such combinations are good for your health. And, so the companies have introduced ‘Diet Carbonated Drinks’, which have nothing but artificial sweeteners. To sum up the negative health facts of the soft drinks:
  • Dissolving the natural teeth enamel
  • Asthma & Eczema can crop up soonhttp://www.csiclosures.com/csi/north_america/en/product_category.asp?cat_id=274
  • Increased risk of kidney stone formation
  • Developing obesity on the higher side
  • Higher risk (80%) of developing Diabetes (Type 2)
  • Increased risk of porous bones due to bone weakening
  • Risk of cancer due to development of lesions in your oesophagus due to acid reflux
Further, the salts present in these beverages decrease the water level in the cells leading to dehydration. Lack of natural water resource in the body causes leg cramping and fatigue. Note that popping in such soda drinks are dangerous with high percentage of associated health risks that pose extreme danger & side effects. So, think more than twice before you drink any artificially flavoured/coloured carbonated drink. Educate yourself about the negative impact of these beverages, which can be replaced with water and other forms of natural energy drinks that are tasty as well. Besides, natural drinks have nutritional value and give and required energy boost too!
